Why Real Life Groups?
The mission of Redeemed Fellowship church is to bring glory to God by reaching people for Christ and connecting them with other believers to see them sanctified by the act of the Holy Spirit, and then help them discover and understand their gifts so that they glorify God with their lives. Real Life Groups are seen as the most effective form of equipping believers and fostering this real life change.

The vision of Real Life Groups is to see the saints equipped effectively to do the work of the Holy Spirit in the places we live, work and seek leisure from. It is a community model that seeks progressive growth towards Christlikeness. Real Life Groups are about developing an environment that is comfortable, relationally sincere, and are as important to us as our own families. They are Bible studies that seek depth, hold fast to truth, are authentically lead and prayer centered. Real life is exactly what they are, a place that you can find comfort, joy, and encouragement to live life like Jesus everyday in your everywhere!

The biblical model for home groups is seen in Acts 2. We see in that chapter ministry done house to house was not only effective in helping in the progression of New Testament church, but very effective in the development of the believers. It is vital that we do life together, and Real Life Groups are how we will do so.

We meet the objectives for real life groups in our member’s lives with the following principles:

  • Transformation, progressive growth in the faith that grows groups with spiritual maturity.
  • Passion, groups should mutually care for the group and live out their faith with a zeal.
  • Community, real life dependence upon one another to accomplish a life that will mature in faith.
  • Mission, group members engage the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and utilize their spiritual giftedness to strengthen the church body.
  • Multiplication, a group that is willing to train up future leaders and see them become passionate about their relational environments.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.
— Acts 2:46-47

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5: 17-21)
