Lead Pastor Randy Beggs
Randy and Ann Beggs
Randy and Ann met while studying at Dallas Baptist University and married in August of 2010. Their daughters, Lilly Grace Beggs, was born in February 2013 in Plano, Texas, likewise Jessie Pearl was born in 2015.
Randy has served as an evangelist from 2001 to 2015 through an independent itinerant ministry. He served as student evangelist at Dallas Baptist University from 2007 to 2008 and also traveled in 2008 full time as an evangelist with World Changers on the west coast circuit preaching camp ministry. Randy has continued to preach with many different ministries sponsored by Lifeway ministries, the North American Mission Board, and the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He has also directed, preached at or been a part of hundreds of Disciple Now and camp ministry events. Alongside Randy’s days doing itinerant preaching, he served from 2006 to 2008 as a recruiter for Dallas Baptist University. In 2008, the Lord led Randy to a position as Singles/College Minister at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, TX. Eight months into the position, he accepted a new position to become the Youth Pastor at the church. He served alongside the lead pastor as a Senior Staff member and did Youth Ministry and associate pastor ministry until September of this year (2015).
Randy received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2006 and also continued on to get a Master’s degree in 2008 in the MACE program (Master of Arts in Christian Education) with an emphasis in Theology. Randy also has a desire to continue his education in the near future.
Randy has always had a very deep call to plant a church one-day. It seems that day is upon him. He never realized that the ministry and experiences he has faced the last few years were in preparation to take him on the journey of planting in the heart of the bible belt. Since early on after his conversion at sixteen, Randy has known of the gift of preaching God has instilled in him to share the Lord’s Good News. It is exciting to see the activity of God in this calling of ministry, as well as the confirmation to plant now in the NW corner of Mckinney/ Proper. A place to call home, and a place to start a grass roots movement that puts the church back into its community!
His experiences the last few years have equipped him for this challenge that awaits in church planting. Randy’s gift sets, the confirmation of mentors and the vision shown to future elders of the church are why he desires to plant in this city. It is of the utmost importance that Randy is always being fed and continually training other leaders for the Kingdom and the universal church of Jesus Christ. The Lord by his grace, has revealed this plant to Randy vividly. His passion is to serve diligently, to humbly lead amongst the congregation and other men and women around him.
